Today I was flipping channels and caught the very end of G4's Electric Playground (a show I really don't much care for usually). They were discussing The Movies and it's Chrysler Competition. As Victor Lucas wrapped up the show, they showed the competition website onscreen. I was stoked to find my submission, A Dog's Tale, very visible on the television. It was sweet.

Alright, try as I might, I seem incapable of getting either a 5-star studio or a 5-star movie star in The Movies. How very, very irritating.

On a very related note, I have a new movie online here.

Ouroboros

I think I might enjoy making these silly little fake movie posters more than I enjoy making the movies, though that may just be the sour grapes talking.

As most of you who visit this site know by now, I've been consumed by the Lionhead/Activision game The Movies. They've graciously granted web space to my studio, Wriphe Jr. Pictures, where I'm listing my moving picture endeavors for everyone to see (and belittle).

In a desperate gamble to increase my studio's visibility, I've decided to start entering every contest that I can. First up is a contest for a new Chrysler. Though I'm very happy with my Jeep (a pre-DaimlerChrysler product), I could always use another car. If you get a chance, check out my film (shameless plug). I think my promo poster below about sums this film up.

Now I'm off to Do Lunch. You're Beautiful. Have Your People Call My People. Ciao.

Ah ha! Site basics are complete tonight with the addition of the media/flash page. Should the page actually work as designed (I'm sure it won't, it never does), I'll finally have all the planned pages at Wriphe.com up to full speed. Now I can move on to other projects. Of course I'll keep this site updated, as at least 3 of my planned projects should have artistic merit.

Endorsement: Morrowind. Very engrossing. (I still hate Xbox. I'm playing the PC version. I know it came out forever ago, but that shouldn't stand in the way of good gaming, should it? Maybe one day I'll even play Half-Life.)

I had intentionally been ignoring this page because the new site was in the works. But then my mother came to town, and then football season started, and then GTA:San Andreas came out.... I do have my priorities, you know.

Spider-Man 2 is the best game I've played since Prince of Persia. If you love Spidey or exploration, you MUST have this game.

I just discovered the game Freedom Force. How have I put off playing this? It's great! The entire Fantastic Four, together, in a great game! Almost wants me to Make Mine Marvel, but only until I pick up one of their books. (That's probably the best endorsement I can give a game: it makes me want to read Marvel Comics again.)

In my house, I have two computers, a TV and VCR, several games systems, a radio, and assorted other appliances and gadgets. If I can own all of these hi-tech devices, how come I can't lay my hands on one simple pencil?

Miss me? I've been busy. I've been upgrading my PC (which means that I have built a new, improved machine from spare parts). Took longer and was more expensive than I had predicted. And of course it meant that I lost all of my settings, bookmarks, and addresses. Recoverable, I admit, but I'd rather play games with my new processor and video card than sit around and gut my old machine.
More to come...later. I've got more otherworldly demons to kill first.
