Whoops. Another missed entry. That's the second time this year. (Sorry, I've spent 3 days working on tiling my den -- removing carpet and wood parquet and replacing with ceramic tile. I just lost track of time, I guess.) Dammit, Walter, pay attention!

Yes, I was supposed to post a blog entry today. I'll post one tomorrow. I promise.

Believe it or not, I almost forgot to post a blog entry today. I know that would have made some of you very happy, and for that I apologize.

It can be hard to think up new and exciting things to post here in my blog that no one ever reads. Last week, I was thinking of quitting posting altogether. But then I read an article in my local newspaper comprised of a series of bad puns about Jimmy Carter's complaints of hemorrhoids to Walter Cronkite and Barbara Walters in 1978. I decided then and there that if "professional" columnists can run columns comprising a series of Presidential ass jokes from 1978 in a "real" newspaper that no one ever reads, I can keep posting my inconsequential blog entries. Again, my apologies.

So it would seem that after a pretty good start, I've fallen to one posting a week. That's horrible. I'll really have to try to do better. I've just been a little preoccupied with finding a way to make some money recently, is all. Once I don't care about that anymore, I'm sure that you'll hear more from me.

In the meantime, since I've already brought up the subject of money, let me mention something here: people who do good deeds do them for selfish reasons. (Doing good deeds releases dopamine and endorphins and other feel good chemicals in the brain. It's evolution's way of encouraging people to get along for mutual benefit.) I certainly have no problem with people who do good deeds, but I do have a problem with people who won't admit that they do good deeds for selfish reasons. Those people are trouble.

And that's all I'm going to say about the Presidential election. Until I say something else.

(If you're wondering what good deeds and a Presidential election have to do money, I'm afraid that I can't help you. Ever. In the interest of full disclosure, I'll go ahead and mention that I did just donate to a charity, but I assure you that it was for all the wrong reasons.)

A friend of mine has been complaining that too many of my recent blog postings have had to do with football. So, to honor the wishes of my dear friend, this posting has nothing to do with football.

Sigh. There was more to this damn blog until earlier today, when I wasted it. I'll try to recover it later. (I think I have a backup around here somewhere.)
All the updates I attempted for the .swf files -- you know, finally fixing the links, bio, etc. -- failed miserably this afternoon. Why? I have no idea. I do know that my attempted ''fixes'' only made shit worse, so I've returned to my backup files to restore to the old files.
Now I say ''Fuck you, Flash,'' and I walk away. I'll go play some video game where I get to kill people. Lots of people. That will make me feel better: killing. It's the American Way.

Driving down the highway, I came up with something really clever that I wanted to put here today. This is not it. (I can't for the life of me remember what it was. Oh, well.)

Sorry. I've been busy. My hectic schedule has kept me from posting my dour wit here. I'll try to do better next week.

When I woke up this morning, I promised myself that today's blog entry wouldn't have any pictures in it. So it doesn't.

As an FYI, I've spent the better part of the past week (the part not occupied with moving or the Super Bowl) sorting Magic the Gathering cards for my high school friend Randy Fike. Randy and I go way back, and we were once roommates, though never previously were we co-workers. Anyway, Randy keeps bitching that I never mention him here in my blog. (Even though he only rarely visits Wriphe.com, as my pitiful hit statistics can attest.) So this post is to fulfill his request, keep Randy happy, and keep Walter employed. Mission accomplished.
